Springo announces acquisition by Stampede as part of post-lockdown growth plans
We’re excited to share the news that Springo has been acquired by Stampede. Over the next few weeks, there will be some changes which we’ve covered below. But first:
Stampede is one of the UK’s leading hospitality software businesses and was founded by software developer and tech entrepreneur, Patrick Clover, to enable physical venues to engage with their customers more easily and effectively, and understand them better. From the independent coffee shops to global brands with thousands of sites – Stampede provides a level of customer insight previously only available to large corporations. It offers business owners better information on their customers through improved engagement and insights into consumer habits.
They’ve helped hundreds of hospitality businesses of all sizes bounce back after COVID, and it’s hoped the combined forces of Stampede & Springo will allow Stampede to reach even more venues.
Benefits of the Stampede platform for hospitality customers include:
- Capture customer data instantly when customers connect to guest Wi-Fi or register via QR code
- Track repeat customers with connection data and build new loyalty schemes and promotions (the success of which can be tracked in real time)
- Generate more reviews across platforms like Google and TripAdvisor (customers can be contacted within an hour of leaving a physical venue encouraging them to leave a review)
- Introduce digital stamp card schemes and let customers earn rewards
As part of the agreement, Jay Ball (CEO of Springo) will join Stampede as a non-executive director and shareholder to support Patrick & the team of Stampede to continue the shared vision of helping hospitality venues grow.
Stephen, Stuart & Owen will join Stampede and continue the day-to-day development & operations.

What does this mean?
Stampede works very similarly to Springo but fast tracks our roadmap development of solutions such as the ability to track repeat customers in real-time, boosting online feedback – whilst deflecting any negative ones through ‘Reviews’, a loyalty app for digital stamp card schemes & loads more!
The team will be in touch over the next few weeks to discuss how we can open up these services to you and your customers through a simple migration.
This is a very simple process and will be fully managed by our joint team.
All pricing will remain the same and any other services you have with Springo will be moved over and managed by the combined team, along with your continued payments.

Future invoices will come from Stampede and any agreements will be moved over seamlessly.
